THE BATTLE FOR LIBERTY BAY
GHYC Labor Day Cruise
Sept 4 – 7, 2026

The horns of war sound!
This Labor Day, the Gig Harbor Yacht Club descends upon the shores of "Little Norway." But this is no mere visit—it is a struggle for ancestral dominance. For the 2026 season, the fleet will be split into two ancient tribes, "Wolf-Kin" and "Rune-Carvers". Your mission: earn glory, win the favor of the High Council, and seize control of Liberty Bay.

The Wolf-Kin The Rune-Carvers
Colors:Red & Black Colors:Blue & White
The Vibe:Fearless, fierce, and pack-oriented. The Wolf-Kin thrive on speed and physical dominance. The Vibe:Wise, strategic, and mysterious. The Rune-Carvers use ancient lore to outwit their foes.

The Trials of Glory

Every activity this weekend feeds the "War Board." Individual medals will be awarded, but only one tribe will stand victorious at the Grand Feast.

  • The Hunt for Hidden Treasure: Scour downtown Poulsbo for Golden Viking Coins. Every coin found is a point for you and a point for your tribe’s treasury.

  • The Ancient Viking Sport, Chip & Sip: A test of precision and steady nerves. Chip to the floating target in the bay to secure naval dominance. High 2 day cumulative scores secure Medals of Honor. All scores will be added to respective tribe tally.

  • The High Council Judgement: Our costume contest is back—but with a twist. Poulsbo Yacht Club dignitaries will serve as the High Council.
